COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – April 24, 2014 – Accellos, a leading provider of supply chain execution software solutions,  and its customer Columbia Colstor, Inc., will highlight the importance of organizational change management in the success of enterprise software deployments.  Additionally, the presentation will feature best practices to ensure technology projects consider the human elements and avoid risk.  The presentation will be made at the 123rd IARW-WFLO Convention and Expo, starting on April 26 in San Diego.

Joe Couto, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Accellos, Inc. and Blake Barthelmess, Chief Information Officer of Columbia Colstor, Inc., will present “The Human Factor of Technology Deployment” which focuses on how to drive true value from technology through organizational change management.  Couto and Barthelmess, both leading experts in the logistics and cold storage industry have partnered to execute technology deployment at Columbia Colstor with great success.  They will be sharing their experiences and strategy on how to transform a typically difficult and painful process of software implementation into a process that enhances an organization, its employees, and customers.

“Blake and I have certainly learned many lessons on the human factors as part of leading hundreds of technology implementations throughout our careers,” said Couto.  “This session will show that when approaching a technology deployment, considering the human element of the process is critical.  Through strong partnerships and organizational change management, important factors need to be considered, such as executive tone, in order to achieve optimum success.”
