Latest version of Accellos’ composite application framework planned for March 2011 general release
Accellos, a leading provider of supply chain execution software solutions, today announced the latest version of Accellos One Workspace, its composite application framework that provides the foundation for its current and future products.
“With Version 2.2 of our Workspace framework we’ve fully incorporated and endorsed ‘cloud computing’ as part of our present and future direction. By certifying Workspace with Microsoft Windows Azure and SQL Azure, we provide our customers with an unprecedented breadth of delivery options, from on-premise to fully in the ‘cloud’, all supported from a single code base,” said Ross Elliott, Accellos’ CTO.
Gartner named Cloud Computing one of its top 10 strategic technologies for 2011. They believe that vendors like Accellos will need to deliver a range of cloud products that fall between “private cloud” solutions delivered inside an organization and “public cloud” solutions made available to the broader audience at large.
“Besides focusing on the cloud, we’ve incorporated new features like integration with Microsoft Lync Unified Communications Server to allow for ‘presence aware’ applications and integrated collaboration. And we’ve built in a comprehensive multi-tenant and identity claim system to allow for secured visibility for our customer’s extended enterprise,” said Elliott.
Version 2.2 of Accellos One Workspace is currently in limited beta release and is planned for a March 2011 general release.
