Accellos’ composite application framework provides the foundation for its current and future products
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colorado – November 4, 2010 – Accellos, a leading provider of supply chain execution software solutions, today announced the latest version of Accellos One Workspace, its composite application framework that provides the foundation for its current and future products.
“This latest generation of Workspace allows our users to gain the advantages that Silverlight 4.0, .Net 4.0 and Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) brings them. Workspace has allowed us to achieve rapid application development across a geographically dispersed group of developers which ultimately realizes itself in more products, delivered more quickly that drive bottom line benefits for our customers and partners,” said Ross Elliott, Accellos’ CTO.
According to Gartner, “Composite applications have gained prominence because of the emergence of SOA, Web 2.0 and software as a service (SaaS), and because of their anticipated benefits of rapid time to deployment and reduced application development costs.”
“With the Workspace 2.1 family, we’ll be able to deliver both on-premise and full multi-tenant “cloud” solutions to our customers and partners – leveraging Microsoft’s Azure cloud platform to do so,” said Mike Cornell, Accellos’ CEO. “We’re excited about the flexibility this affords our customers in leveraging the wealth of functionality our solutions offer.”
Version 2.1 of Accellos One Workspace is currently in limited beta release and is planned for a December 2010 general release.
